Across sun-blasted sands
in a sea of dunes
Shimmering waves caress
with invisible fiery hands
Dyed in colours to be imagined
spirirts of wind ride free
Over ancient cities
which once stood proud
In cascading columns of light
Has given way to time
Shifting as the desert storms
a land that never settles
